When we last saw Will Krudski on Dawson's Creek (Pacey's hottie friend played by Rodney Scott), he was getting some serious advice from Pacey about staying away from the teachers at the prestigious school he was about to attend, Rawley Academy.  And if you shed a tear fearing that it would be the last time you laid eyes on Will, you can thank heaven for the hot Dawson's spin-off, Young Americans.

The only trouble is, country boy Will feels a bit out of his element amidst the upper-class Rawley guys, and the fact that he cheated on his entrance exam doesn't help matters.  Thank goodness for his new roommate Scout, a confidant and everything Will wants to be.  But not all is peachy at Rawley and every student Will encounters has a secret.  Scout has a forbidden crush on local gal Bella; Hamilton thinks he's gay after developing a forbidden crush on fellow student Jake; and Jake has a crush on Hamilton, with the twist being that Jake is really a girl.  Phew!  And all of this in the first episode!  We could go on, but believe us, watching Young Americans is a whole lot easier and way more fun.

Who are the Young Americans?  Will Krudski is played by Rodney Scott, whose career started when he was plucked from hundreds of hopefuls to play '70s teen idol David Cassidy in The Partridge Family Story.  "Playing David taught me how not to be a teen idol," he laughs.  He then chummed up with Pacey in Dawson's Creek and the rest is history!  Scout Calhoun is played by Mark Famiglietti, who dropped out of uni in New York and quickly landed a regular part in the Saturday morning show, Hangtime.  He got the job on Young Americans soon after that.  Offstage Mark follows the stock market and works out with a 55-65 kilometre run every week.  Bella Banks is played by 17-year old Kate Bosworth.  When Kate handed the makers of The Horse Whisperer a family Christmas card pic instead of a headshot, little did she know a career would be born.  Oh, and she'd get to work with director/star Robert Redford too!  Since then, this champion equestrian hasn't looked back, with roles pouring in.  Hamilton Fleming is played by former model Ian Somerhalder.  After treading the catwalks of Paris, Milan and London he was bitten by the acting bug.  While working as an extra in the flick Black and White, an agent spotted him on the set and picked him out of the 400 plus crowd to be signed on the spot.  Self confessed tomboy, Katherine Moennig is perfect to play Jake Pratt (the gal masquerading as a guy).  Her stage career began at 10, in a production of Winnie the Pooh.  She eventually enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and worked behind the scenes on stage productions before landing her first gig in front of the camera on Young Americans.
