"Lost"actor Ian Somerhalder is looking forward to some down time back home in Louisiana after months of the series' intense shooting schedule in Hawaii, followed by a raft of interviews and meetings in Los Angeles. Ian's role -- Boone -- becomes more important to the story in the Jan. 12 episode, when there will be several revelations. He says he's glad he had friends and family flying over to visit him in Hawaii during the early weeks of production, when he had less to do. Lately, "I've been working so much, it would have been pretty impossible," he says. Many of "Lost's" more avid fans have already noticed that there are hints and clues about the future and the nature of the mysterious island where the crash survivors are struggling to get by physically planted in scenes. "The people writing the show create all these tiny specific nuances," he says. "I got a copy of 'Watership Down,' because there are similarities, looking at the characters in the book -- ixnay on the bunnies, though. You will continue finding similarities to things out of literature. That's a puzzle in itself. If you're looking, you'll find a lot. It's all there for reasons, like Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) reading a comic book with a big polar bear on it. We read the scripts and say, 'There's the shot of that damn comic book again.'"
