It's my humble opinion that Josh is actually the key to the breakthrough in George and Sam's relationship. The events in the park the night before with Josh are a "rock bottom" of sorts for the miserable Sam. Without having hit that rock bottom, I don't think that Sam would have started to let George back into his life. He's desperately unhappy with himself and George is there at the right moment to tell Sam that he cares. |
