Levi's "The Mystic" Commercial
An excerpt from an article the Wall Street Journal, November 6, 1998
"In the latest campaign, on which Levi's is spending about $10 million, a young man [Ian] visits a female mystic, who instead of reading his palm "reads" the creases of his jeans. Then, in the scene tweaked for different markets, passion erupts between the young man and the mystic's bare-shouldered female assistant. Sparks fly between the two angry women, and the young man slowly departs."
I'm still trying to get my hands on a copy of the commercial. If you have any information at all, please email me. I've done everything including contact the advertising company that made the commercial (they laughed at me) that I can think of to find this commercial. Now, it's in the hands of Ian fans who live in the countries that aired it. If you have a copy, I will get it converted and posted so we can all enjoy it...someone just needs to get it to me!
